the landing dinghy and Verdens Beste the RIB which brought us over

heading for the steep slopes of Garbh Eilean ..

.. and soon looking back down on the beach ..

.. connecting Garbh Eilean and Eilean an Tighe

panoramic shot of Eilean an Tighe

near the top of the steep part

heading for the highest summit Mullach Buidhe

looking east to Eilean Mhuire

looking north west from the summit with Harris in the far distance

(leaving only the 5 outlying islands and seastacks of St Kilda unclimbed)

Eilean an Tighe from the cliffs of Garbh Eilean

Eilean Mhuire from the cliffs of Garbh Eilean

reaching the steep part of the descent ..

.. made slightly easier by veering west ..

.. and then scrambling over rocks to the beach

with the tide now out the departure was trickier (and wetter) than the landing
