Today's walk (Keswick rambling club): The Nab - Rest Dodd

a wet morning in Martindale with the Nab behind ..

.. we had special permission to climb it by the usually forbidden route through the deer reserve

on the old path up the eastern side of the Nab with Rampsgill Beck below

higher up the path looking to the headwaters of Rampsgill Beck

The Nab summit where Zena on the right was completing her collection of Wainwright fells

heading for Rest Dodd ..

.. where the wall below it gave enough shelter for Zena to pour a celebratory drink

The Nab from the slopes of Rest Dodd

from near the top of Rest Dodd we see Ullswater and a touch of sunshine on the Nab

Angle Tarn from the slopes of Rest Dodd - note the rescue helicopter above Angle Tarn Pikes

descending into Bannerdale

The Nab now in sunshine ..

.. and near the end of the walk another touch of sun
